Project World School
The 2026 Cusco & Sacred Valley Retreat is a 15-day immersive learning-community based in the heart of Peru’s Andes, where ancient history and vibrant living culture intertwine. Centered in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, this retreat invites teens to step into the world of the Incas—experiencing their enduring legacy through archaeology, traditional artisan practices, Andean mysticism, farming, and sustainability.

Harmony alternative
They offer a 7-week programme (October – November) in the breathtaking Sacred Valley of Peru, where learners become immersed in Andean culture, history, language, and the natural world through place-based, inquiry-led learning.
- Global Classroom (ages 10–15): Older learners follow an interdisciplinary curriculum led by qualified educators, blending academic rigour with real-world experiences. Learning is driven by inquiry, projects, reflection, and authentic engagement with local communities, while remaining aligned with international standards and optional IB pathways.
- Roots (ages 5–9): Younger learners explore the same themes through play, creativity, storytelling, outdoor exploration, and hands-on experiences designed specifically for younger children.
The programme begins with one week of pre-term preparation, followed by seven weeks of immersive learning in Peru, and concludes with two weeks of guided reflection and portfolio work, giving learners the opportunity to consolidate their learning and celebrate their growth.
Families live nearby and travel together as a community, while learners attend the programme each weekday with a team of qualified facilitators. Throughout the term they support families with accommodation recommendations, local information, and building a strong community of worldschooling families.
The Peru term is the first stage of their South America pathway, continuing into Argentina and Chile, allowing families to join for a single term or continue the full academic year.
